- 1 - retaining ring
Always replace.
- 2 - sealing gasket
Only for constant velocity joints with an outside diameter of 100 mm. Always replace the gasket. Remove the protective film and stick it to the joint before installation.
- 3 - constant velocity joint (interior), diameter 100 mm
For vehicles with an engine from 66 kW (90 hp) and all models from 10/93: with sealing gasket. Replace the joint only as an assembly.
Constant velocity joint (interior), diameter 94 mm For cars with 53/55 kW engine (72/75 hp) up to 9/93: without sealing gasket. Replace the joint only as an assembly.
- 4 - disc spring
With splines at the small diameter. The large diameter is adjacent to the constant velocity joint.
- 5 - corrugated hinge cover
Rubber version. Different cuffs for hinges with a diameter of 100 mm and 94 mm. The cover has a ventilation hole. Before putting on the cover, lubricate the protective cap with D3 sealant. Remove with a rod.
- 6 - cardan shaft
Note: For vehicles with 53/55 kW engine (72/75 hp) up to 9/93 splines from the position of the disc spring to the groove for the retaining ring are 4 mm shorter than other models.
- 7 — clamp
Always replace.
- 8 - corrugated hinge cover
For constant velocity joints with an outer diameter of 90 mm, polystyrene version.
Note: Before tightening the small clamp, lift the cover slightly to equalize the pressure in the internal cavity.
Corrugated joint cover: for vehicles with 53/55 kW engine (72/75 hp) up to 9/93 outer diameter of the hinge 81 mm.
- 9 — clamp
Always replace: Cut the closed metal ring with a hacksaw.
- 10 - disc spring
- 11 - spacer washer
- 12 — retaining ring
Always replace: install in shaft groove.
- 13 — constant velocity joint (outer), diameter 90 mm
For vehicles with an engine of 66 kW (90 hp) and more and all models from 10/93: replace only as a complete unit.
Constant velocity joint (outer), diameter 81mm: for cars with 53/55 kW engine (72/75 hp) up to 9/93.
- 14 — constant velocity joint
(outer), diameter 90 mm For vehicles with 16-valve engine and VR6 engine since 10/93: increased spline diameter.
- 15 — vibration damper
Up to 9/93: for left and right cardan shafts, from 10/93 only for the right shaft. In vehicles equipped with a turbocharged diesel engine, up to 9/93 is not available. With a 115 hp engine and all-wheel drive, it is installed only on the left cardan shaft.
- 16 — clamp
- 17 — support rings
They are installed only on the gearbox side and when using corrugated rubber covers.
- 18 - corrugated hinge cover
Made of polystyrene. Different cuffs for hinges with a diameter of 100 mm and 94 mm. The cover has a ventilation hole. Before putting on the cover, lubricate the protective cap with D3 sealant. Remove with a rod.
- 19 - protective cover
From 4/89 for vehicles with engines from 66 kW (90 hp).
- 20 — bolt, 35 Nm
Standard cardan shafts for vehicles manufactured before 10/88 (chassis No.31KE081817)
In these vehicles, vibrations of the chassis are eliminated by means of fixed and movable dampers. Loose dampers are replaced with dampers of a new design (spare part # 357407294 A). If a loose damper has damaged the protective varnish, the entire cardan shaft is replaced. If the dampers are not yet loose, have been repositioned or are new, a clamp (arrow) must be installed as a stop on the wheel side next to the damper.

Cars with engines up to 66 kW (90 hp): dimension a = 28 mm;
Cars with engines with power greater than 66 kW (90 hp): dimension a = 5 mm.
