Two camshafts are mounted in the cylinder head. One shaft serves the intake valves, the other - the exhaust. The camshaft drive is carried out as follows: one camshaft is driven by means of a toothed belt, which, by means of a chain drive, drives the other camshaft. One camshaft (release) equipped with five, another shaft (high school graduation) - six bearing caps.
Exhaust valves are filled with sodium. When replacing exhaust valves, the old ones must be taken to a car repair shop "Volkswagen" for scrap metal.
The engine is equipped with hydraulic pushers that do not require regular additional adjustment.
In many cases, the manufacturer does not specify exact parameters for controlling the working clearances of valve stems, the dimensions of the unstressed part of the valve springs, etc., since these parameters are measured by certain gauges.
