The gearbox is secured with bolts and can be released by loosening and unscrewing the gearbox bolts.
The gearbox is slowly separated from the engine, but care is taken to ensure that the weight of the gearbox does not impact the drive shaft or the clutch disc. This work should be done by several people.
Before mutual assembly of the gearbox and engine, the clutch release bearing and the clutch shaft engagement are very lightly lubricated with grease. In Volkswagen cars, the grease G000100 is used, and it is always necessary to provide a small amount of this grease when lubricating.
When connecting the engine and gearbox flanges, make sure that the matching pins are in the cylinder block flange. Bolts M10 and M12 are tightened with a force of 80 Nm.
