Removal
Note: If there are small cracks (0.5 mm) between the valve seat sleeve and the spark plug hole thread, or if only the first turns of the spark plug hole thread are damaged, the heads can be installed on the engine.
Press the valve spring cup down and pull out the crackers; service stations use a clamping device for this, see the picture, or spring compression pliers. You can also press the spring cups with two powerful screwdrivers. However, in this case, you should place a rag in the combustion chamber in the cylinder head so that the valve does not fall down when pressing. Have an assistant pull out the crackers.
Remove the spring cup and valve head.
Installation
Before installation, if necessary, perform the following work: Check the valves, check the valve guide bushings in the cylinder head, treat the valve seats in the cylinder head, grind the valves, treat the valves, check the tightness of the valve seat.
