A telescopic pushrod protection tube is supplied as a spare part and can be installed without removing the engine.

Removal



Remove the cylinder head cover. Remove the rocker shaft and pull out the push rod.

Remove the warm air supply.

Remove the defective pusher protective tube with tweezers or a screwdriver.

Installation



Compress the telescopic pushrod protective tube with new seals using tweezers and insert as shown in the figure.

Insert the push rod and install the rocker shaft.

Caution: Carefully insert the push rods into the push rod ball bearings. Control with your finger. Push rods installed on the edge of the push rod lead to erroneous adjustment results and damage to the push rods when turning the engine.


Perform basic adjustment of the hydraulic valve drive.
