The removed engine is first cleaned from the outside, and then disassembled in the following sequence:
Loosen the engine mount.
Drain the oil.
Remove engine covers.
Remove muffler and both exhaust pipes.
Remove generator.
Remove carburetor.
Remove intake manifold with heater wire.
Remove water pump.
Remove belt pulley.
Remove clutch.
Remove flywheel.
Remove the ignition distributor drive shaft.
Remove valve chamber covers and rocker shafts.
Remove cylinder heads.
Remove cylinders and pistons.
Remove the oil pump and oil pickup screen.
Disassemble the engine crankcase.
Pull out the camshaft and crankshaft with connecting rods. The workflows for disassembling the engine will be described in more detail below. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
