The toothed contact of the starter with the flywheel crown occurs under the influence of an electromagnet, which sucks the tribes between the teeth of the flywheel.
After starting the engine (in relation to the already mentioned large transmission moment) there would be a strong acceleration of the starter. Therefore, a one-way clutch is installed, which makes it impossible to drive the starter with a flywheel and allows you to interrupt the gear contact of the tribe.
Starter Removal - Manual Transmission
1. Disconnect the wire to ground from the battery.
2. Disconnect the wires from the starter, indicating their connection to such clamps as:
- a - clamp 30 to the positive terminal of the battery;
- b - clamp 50 to the ignition switch (viewed from behind the starter, this clip is on the right side of the solenoid);
- c - terminal 15A through the preliminary rheostat to terminal 15 of the ignition coil (From the left side)
3. Unscrew the three bolts securing the starter to the engine, remove it up. To remove the bolts, you will need a SW10 wrench.
4. Installation takes place in the reverse order of removal. Care must be taken not to interchange belt loops b and c.
Removing the starter - automatic transmission
1. Disconnect the wire to ground from the battery.
2. Remove the upper bolts of the bracket.
3. Apply the handbrake, raise the front of the car and place it on stands.
4. Unscrew the drive shaft from the drive flange.
5. Loosen the nuts and bolts of the thermal jacket. Take off the skin
6. Disconnect the wires from the terminals 30 and 50 of the starter
7. Turn away from a starter an arm of a thermal casing and to take out after a deflection of a driving semiaxis.
8. Tilt the starter with the tribe up and pull it down between the drive shaft and the engine housing.
9. Installation takes place in reverse order.
