Removal and installation the starter (petrol 1.4 l) (VW Polo 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the wiring connector 1 of circuit 50 (Fig. 12.1). Remove the plastic cover 2 and disconnect the wire from terminal 30 of the starter solenoid.



3. Unscrew bolt 1, nut 4, bolts 3 and 2 (Fig. 12.2).



4. Remove the starter.

Installation

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torques: bolt 1 - 45 Nm, bolt 3 - 60 Nm, nut 4 - 60 Nm.
