Starter (cars with 1.4 l TSI engines and MQ500 manual transmission) (VW Tiguan 1)

• 1 - Starter
• 2 - Connecting the B+ wire to the starter
• 3 - Nut for fastening the connection of the B+ wire to the starter, M8, 15 Nm
• 4 - Starter mounting bolts, M12, 75 Nm
• 5 - Protective cap
• 6 - Wire holder mounting nuts, M8, 15 Nm
• 7 - Wire holder Fastening bolt of air filter housing to body, 10 Nm

Removal and installation the starter

Disconnect the battery. Unlock the vacuum hose "arrow" and remove it. Pull the engine casing up from the rubber support "1" and remove it -in the direction of the arrow- forward. Remove the air filter housing.



Unlock and disconnect plug connector "1".



Slide the protective cap "1" down in the direction of the arrow on the traction relay.





Unscrew the fastening nut "1" and remove the positive wire "2" from the connecting thread of the traction relay.



Unscrew nuts "2" from the starter mounting bolts and remove the wire holder "1".



Unscrew the upper mounting bolt of the starter "arrow". Remove the noise-insulating casing.



Unscrew the lower mounting bolt of the starter "2". Remove the starter "1" from the bottom of the car.




Installation in reverse order, taking into account the following: Tighten the threaded connections to the specified tightening torques.
