Disconnect the wires from the starter relay.
Remove the Allen head bolts or socket head bolts from the starter mounting flange.
For models produced before November 1977, additionally disconnect the clamp bracket near the engine block.
Remove the starter.
When installing, tighten the threaded connections of the mounting flange to a torque of 20 Nm.
