When the ignition is switched on, terminal 15 is energized. But the alternator isn't running yet, so pin D+. having no voltage, is a negative contact. The control lamp flashes, as there is a voltage difference between the on-board network, powered by the battery, and the generator that is not yet running.
When the engine starts and the generator reaches its charging speed, the voltage regulator connects the generator to the onboard electrical equipment. Now the positive current comes from terminal 15 and additionally from terminal D+. There is no longer a voltage difference, the battery charge control lamp goes out.
When the ignition is switched on, the burning control lamp of the battery charge must first excite the generator.
Instruction. In most cases, the battery charge indicator light stays on when you start the engine and the engine is running at low idle. Then the pre-excitation of the generator is too weak, it still does not give an electric current. As soon as you lightly touch the accelerator pedal, the lamp goes out. This is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
