Connect the battery ground wire.
Move the clamping bracket of the generator multi-pin plug to the side.
Remove the plug, do not pull on the wires.
Disconnect the negative wire from the generator housing.
Remove the adjusting bolt.
Remove the V-belt.
Loosen the generator pivot bolt nut.
Pull out the pivot bolt while holding the generator.
