If one of the glow plugs is defective, you usually notice it when the engine is cold. While the fuel immediately ignites in the other cylinders, the one with the defective glow plug does not perform well. Hence. not all engine cylinders are working, and the engine emits blue clouds of smoke. A defective glow plug can be found in this way:
Remove the wire from the extreme glow plug located on the left, when viewed from the direction of travel.
For the rest of the glow plugs, remove the contact bars.
Connect the clamps of the electrical test lamp to the positive terminal of the battery.
Now with the tip of the test lamp, in turn, touch the connecting thread of the individual candles.
Where the bulb does not flash, there is a defective glow plug.
