Glow plugs are used for initial heating of the fuel mixture. Glow plugs cannot be repaired, so if they are faulty, replace the plugs. The performance of glow plugs should be checked at a service station.
If after unscrewing the glow plug you see that its tip is burnt, this indicates poor operation of the injector. Poorly adjusted fuel injection timing also negatively affects the service life of glow plugs. When buying a glow plug, always specify the engine type, in this case "1Z", and the year of manufacture of the car. Malfunction of glow plugs can usually be noticed only on a cold engine. Fuel in cylinders with normally working glow plugs will ignite earlier than fuel in cylinders with faulty glow plugs. According to these signs, a malfunction of the glow plugs will be an intermittently running engine and blue exhaust smoke.
