Removal and installation of the turbocharger is carried out in accordance with fig. 482. In fig. 481 shows the connection points of the turbocharger pipelines, so this figure should be paid special attention when installing the turbocharger:
- disconnect wires from AB;
- place the front of the car on supports and remove the engine protection;
- disconnect the exhaust pipe from the turbocharger (4 nuts), detach it from the other side. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Remove gaskets;
Pic. 483. Disconnect hoses 1 and 2 to remove the turbocharger
- remove the air hose between the intake manifold and the connection between the turbocharger and the charge air cooler, and the hose between the air filter and the turbocharger. These are lines 1 and 2 (pic. 483);
Pic. 484. The bolts indicated by the arrows fix the inlet pipe
- unscrew shown in fig. 484 bolts and remove the exhaust pipe;
- unscrew the bolt and remove the boost pressure enrichment hose;
Pic. 485. Connection points of both pipelines for supplying oil to a turbocharger
- Disconnect the oil recirculation line and supply line at the points shown in fig. 485 locations;
- unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the turbocharger.
Installation of the turbocharger is carried out in the reverse order of the removal process. Wherein:
- replace gaskets, o-rings, bolts, nuts, etc. as directed. (list to fig. 482).
- fit and secure the boost pressure enrichment hose before the turbocharger is installed;
- install the turbocharger and tighten the bolts inserted from above so that the turbocharger can still be moved a little;
- tighten the nut from below to 25 Nm, and then tighten the bolts inserted from above to 35 Nm.
- before installing the oil supply pipeline, fill it with oil;
- install the oil recirculation line with a new gasket and tighten to 25 Nm;
- install the front exhaust pipe with new gaskets (connection tightening torque 25 Nm);
- pay attention to the correct location of individual hoses and the reliability of their installation;
- After installing the turbocharger, start the engine and let it idle for a while. The engine must not be immediately operated at high speeds, since in this case an even distribution of oil will not occur.
