3 - oil supply channel
4 - turbine wheel on the suction side
Cleanliness must be especially observed when working on the turbocharging system. Therefore: the joints and their surroundings must be thoroughly cleaned before loosening, put the removed parts only in a clean place, close the exposed parts to protect them from dirt, install only clean new parts, do not work with compressed air and do not move the vehicle.
Disconnect ground wire from battery.
Remove the air hoses from the exhaust pipe to the turbo and from the air filter to the turbo.
Unscrew the oil supply pipes together with the contact point on the turbocharger.
Unscrew the oil return pipe from the turbocharger.
Under it, loosen the fastening bolts that connect the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold. For using a 12 mm wrench, a long extension and a universal joint from the wrench set.
Pull up the turbocharger after unscrewing the bolts.
Installation
Turbocharging is first of all set like this. so he can move a little. To do this, the fixing nuts on the exhaust pipe should not be tightened too much at first.
Screw in the four bolts for fastening the boost to the exhaust manifold and tighten to the required torque.
Now finally tighten the nuts on the exhaust pipe.
Before installing the pipes for supplying small, it is necessary to apply a little fresh oil to the connection points.
Do not operate the engine at high speeds after installation, as the boost lubrication is not yet fully ensured. Let the engine idle for the first few minutes.
