CAUTION: If the turbocharger is found to have mechanical defects, such as a defective impeller, it is not enough to simply replace the turbocharger. To prevent subsequent defects, perform the following work.
Check the air filter housing, filter element and intake hoses for contamination.
Check the entire charge air supply unit and charge air cooler for foreign objects.
If they are detected, the entire charge air supply unit and charge air cooler should be cleaned and replaced if necessary.
NOTE: All hose connections must be secured. The pressurization system must be leak-proof. Self-locking nuts must be replaced.
NOTE: Before tightening the oil feed line, fill the turbocharger connection nipple with engine oil.
NOTE: After installing the turbocharger, let the engine run for about 1 minute at idle speed. Do not increase the engine speed sharply immediately after starting the engine. This ensures lubrication of the turbocharger. Observe safety precautions. Observe cleanliness standards.
