WARNING: The o-ring of the nipple connector may be damaged if the retaining clip is in the locked position during installation. As a result, leakage occurs. Follow the installation instructions.
Removing
The male connector can be unlocked by pulling the retaining clip (pic. 2.225). Disconnect the hose/pipe without any aids.
Installation
When replacing the O-ring, place the O-ring in the groove of the charge air hose. Pay attention to the fact that the ring is completely seated in the groove.
Lightly coat the sealing lip with engine oil.
Move the locking clip to unlock position 1.
Press the charge air hose into the connector as far as it will go.
Move the retaining clip to lock position 2 and push the hose in again, finally (pic. 2.226).
By pulling out, check that the hose is properly seated and secure in the coupling.
