Caution: The sealing ring of the nipple connector may be damaged if the locking bracket is in the locked position during installation. This will result in a leak. Follow the installation instructions.

The nipple connector can be unlocked by pulling the locking clip (fig. 2.352).

The hose/tube should be disconnected without any additional means.

Installation

When replacing the sealing ring, insert it into the groove of the boost air hose. Make sure that the ring is completely seated in the groove.

Lubricate the sealing lips and O-ring with oil.

Move the locking bracket to the unlock position 1 (fig. 2.353).

Press the boost air supply hose into the coupling until it stops.

Move the locking bracket to the locking position 2 and press the hose again, finally (fig. 2.353).

By pulling, check the correct fit and secure fixation of the hose in the coupling.

Hose connections with spring clamps

Note: After removing and installing the booster air tubes with spring clamps, there is a high probability of the hose "slipping off" while driving. For this reason, spring clamps are installed, which are then allowed to be opened if the corresponding booster air tube is faulty (fig. 2.354).

In case of repair, the spring clamp must be broken using a suitable tool and replaced with a new one.

Note: All hose connections must be secured. The supercharging system must be airtight. Self-locking nuts must be replaced.

Note: Before tightening the oil feed line, fill the turbocharger connection nipple with engine oil.

Note: To ensure lubrication of the turbocharger, after installing the turbocharger, let the engine run at idle speed for approximately 1 minute.
