Removal and installation cylinder head covers and gaskets (VW Touareg 1)

Observe the tightening sequence of the cylinder head cover mounting bolts (fig. 2.205).

Tighten the mounting bolts in the sequence shown to a torque of 10 Nm.

Cylinder Head Gasket Markings

NOTE: There are three types of cylinder head gaskets with different thicknesses. The number of holes can be used to determine the thickness of the seal. When replacing, it is necessary to install gaskets with the same thickness.
