Insert the new valve into the guide sleeve. The end of the valve stem should be covered by the guide sleeve. Due to the different stem diameters, use the intake valve only in the intake valve guide sleeve and the exhaust valve in the exhaust valve guide sleeve.

Determine the clearance when rocking the valve (fig. 2.219).

Wear limit: max. 1.3 mm.

If the clearance values exceed the wear limits, replace the cylinder head.
