Removal
Remove the high pressure fuel lines, see below.
Unscrew the electrical wires from the glow plugs.
Remove the glow plugs.
Installation
Screw in the glow plugs and tighten them to the following torque:
- Vortex chamber engine (1Y, RA, SB, AAZ) — 30 Nm
- Direct injection engine (1 Z, AFN) - 15 Nm
Caution: Do not exceed the tightening torque, otherwise the annular gap between the pin and the glow plug thread will tighten. The normal size of the annular gap is 0.5 mm. A tightened annular gap leads to premature failure of the glow plug.
Screw on the electrical wires.
Tighten the high-pressure fuel lines to a torque of 25 Nm.
