Caution: The gas rod is very sensitive to longitudinal bending, so it must be handled very carefully during installation. One slight longitudinal bend can later lead to breakage while driving. Therefore, rods that have been bent cannot be installed.
Ask your assistant to press the gas pedal all the way down (full feed position), or secure it in this position using a suitable board placed between the pedal and the seat.
By repositioning the locking bracket in the locking groove at the counter support, secure the gas pedal in the full delivery position so that the fuel injection pump lever rests against the support without tension.
