The central locking system includes an electric feed pump, feed pipes and actuators for individual locks. An electric feed pump creates excess pressure for opening and vacuum for closing the locks. This pressure (vacuum) through hoses it is supplied to the actuating elements of the locks.
Attention: After the vehicle has been parked for a long time and the feed pump has been replaced, the central locking system is only ready for operation again after it has been switched on several times. With a working system, all locks should be locked in approximately 2-5 seconds. If the feed pump continues to operate for more than 5 seconds, then the system is leaking or the system of rods of some actuating element is misadjusted, as a result of which the switch-off moment is not reached. In this case, the feed pump can operate for a maximum of 35 seconds, after which the control unit switches off the pump to avoid overheating.
