Removal and installation the hood cable drive (VW Passat B3)

• 7 — mounting bolt

Self-locking, therefore replaceable. When reusing, clean the threads with a wire brush and treat with anti-loosening agent VW AMV 197 000 01 before installation.

Removal: unscrew the fastening of the drive lever "1" and the lock "8", unhook and detach the cable rod. Tie a thread or thin cord approximately 1 m long to the nipple of the cable rod on the passenger compartment side and pull the cable into the engine compartment. Untie the thread and use it to pull the new cable through.
