Removal

Open the back door and prop it open.

Move the locking bracket "1" to the side and pull it out.

Use a screwdriver to lift the locking bracket "2" and remove the gas-filled shock absorber from the ball joint.

Note: If the gas-filled shock absorber is to be reinstalled, the locking bracket "2" must not be completely removed from the ball joint, as this will damage it.

Attention: If the gas-filled shock absorber is to be replaced, the gas must be released from it before it is disposed of. Then saw through the shock absorber cylinder in the first third of its total length, counting from the limiting edge on the piston rod side. To retain the splashed oil, cover the sawing area with rags. In addition, you must wear safety glasses while sawing.

Installation

Place the gas-filled shock absorber on the ball joint and secure it.

Place the ball head of the gas-filled shock absorber on the support, insert the locking bracket and secure it.
