As part of the test drive, the following parameters should be evaluated:
- Engine: power, interruptions, idling characteristics, acceleration.
- Grip: pulling away, effort on the pedals, smell.
- Shifting: Ease of shifting, shift lever position.
- Automatic transmission: position of the control lever, shifting/locking the ignition key, shifting characteristic, indication on the instrument panel display.
- Foot and hand brakes: performance, free travel and efficiency, braking slip, vibration, squeak.
- ABS Operation: When the ABS brakes are applied, a pulsation should be felt on the brake pedal.
- Steering: performance, steering wheel play, steering wheel in the middle position when driving in a straight line.
- Sliding sunroof: performance.
- Radio / radio navigation system: performance, reception, GALA, noise interference.
- Multifunction display (MFA): performance.
- Air conditioning: performance.
- Driving in a straight line: pulling to the side (on a flat, level road).
- Imbalance: wheels, articulated shafts, cardan shaft.
- Wheel bearings: noise.
- Engine: starting qualities of a hot engine.
