Check the poly V-belt (1) for the following defects:
- breaks in the bearing layer (tears, cord damage, cross-sectional breaks),
- stratification (top layer, cord threads),
- tearing out of the bearing layer,
- delamination of cord threads at the edges,
- edge wear (material erosion, thread peeling, edge hardening (glassy surface), cracks on the surface),
- traces of oil and grease.
If the above signs are detected, the poly V-belt must be replaced. This way, you can avoid belt failure and, consequently, malfunctions. Replacing the poly V-belt is a service solution.
