Cold oil
Initial conditions for testing: the engine is off, the front wheels are in the straight ahead position.
Follow these steps to check the oil level.
- Unscrew the cap with the built-in dipstick from the tank.
- Wipe the dipstick to determine the oil level with a clean rag.
- Tighten by hand and unscrew the cap again, then check the oil level.
The oil level must be in the area of the cool mark. Permissible level deviation: 2 mm above or below the mark.
- If the oil level is above the specified zone, pump out the oil.
- If the oil level is below the minimum allowable level, the hydraulic system must be checked for leaks.
- If the hydraulic system is in good condition, add the missing hydraulic oil (G 002 000).
- Screw the screw cap onto the tank by hand.
Oil heated to working condition (about 50°C)
The steps for this check are the same as those described in the previous paragraph.
The oil level must be between the cool and hot marks.
