Visual inspection of the brake system for leaks and damage (VW Caddy 3)

Check the following components for leaks and damage:
  • master brake cylinder,
  • brake booster (if there is ABS - and a hydraulic unit),
  • brake force regulator and brake calipers.

Check the brake hoses for porosity and degree of rubber hardening.

Check the brake hoses and brake lines for wear.

Also check the brake hose connections and fastenings for correct position, tightness and absence of corrosion.

Caution: Make sure that the brake hoses are not kinked. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that when the steering wheel is turned to its maximum, the brake hoses do not touch the vehicle components.
