The location of the control units of the central locking system on the car
- 1, 3, 8, 10 - control units in the doors;
- 2, 4, 7, 9 - actuators integrated into the door locks;
- 3, 8 - control units in doors with electric windows;
- 5 - executive engine of the fuel filler cap;
- 6 - executive engine of the rear door;
- 11 - antenna executive engine
Elements of the central locking system that controls the door lock
- 1 - protective cover;
- 2 - rod of the door lock button;
- 3 - door lock button;
- 4 - internal door opening handle;
- 5 - draft of the internal handle of opening of a door;
- 6 - executive electric motor;
- 7 - door lock;
- 8 - lock closing device
The central locking system consists of a control unit, two or four door controls, four door locks, and an electric motor and switch in the trunk lid/tailgate.
When opening or closing the locks of the front doors or the luggage compartment, the central locking system simultaneously opens or closes the locks of all doors, the fuel tank cap and, depending on the position of the trunk lid lock, also this lock.
The central locking system also provides the ability to open either of the two front doors, as well as the luggage compartment, while all other locks remain locked.
In a central locking system with five control devices, if the individual door control device fails, the rest of the system remains operational. Also, the communication between the central control unit and the control device in the door is carried out only by two wires.
The central locking system has the following functions:
- central locking of the trunk lid / rear door lock;
- interior lighting control in the cabin;
- remote control;
- hatch control;
- anti-theft device control;
- central locking of the locks of the rear doors, in which the power windows are installed;
- when the airbag is deployed, the door locks are immediately unlocked;
- system self-diagnosis;
- Several modes can be used to control door locks.
The control unit in the door performs the following functions:
- performing various door closing functions;
- control of electric windows with limited closing force;
- control of rear-view mirrors with electric drive;
- system self-diagnosis.
On a car equipped with a central locking system, the following devices are installed in the door:
- door lock;
- five microswitches that transmit information to the control unit about the position of the door lock. There are three microswitches in the rear door lock;
- two handles for opening the door;
- lock cylinder;
- electric motor that controls the door lock.
