Removal and installation the glass sliding sunroof cover (VW Golf 4)

Removal

1. Slide the sunroof sunshade back.

2. Open the hatch.



3. Move the cover (1) at the rear forward in the direction of the arrow, release the spring clip and separate the cover from the ceiling (1 – lower cover, 2 – upper cover).

4. Disconnect the spring clips of the lining (2) at the front, middle and rear sections.



5. Using a T25 Torx screwdriver, remove the mounting screws.

6. Move the hatch cover and remove it upwards.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the cover mounting screws to 4.5 Nm.
