The camshaft drive in this type of engine is performed by a chain that does not require maintenance (see illustration 6.0).

The intake and exhaust camshafts are located in a separate housing, which is bolted to the cylinder head (see illustration 6.0a).

The intake and exhaust camshafts are located in a separate housing, which is bolted to the cylinder…

1. Apply a thin, even layer of sealant to the cleaned surfaces to be sealed (see gray background in illustration 6.0).

When installing, place the casing strictly vertically from top to bottom on the fingers and mounting pins.

2. Tighten the cylinder head bolts in three passes in a sequence from 1 to 10 (see illustration).

2. Tighten the cylinder head bolts in three passes in a sequence from 1 to 10 (see illustration).

When performing the 1st pass, the bolts are tightened by applying a force of 30 Nm.

During the second pass, the bolts are turned by 90° (1/4 turn).

At 90° (1/4 turn) the bolts are tightened further during the 3rd pass.

1 - guide. The mounting bolts are tightened with a force of Nm
2 - bolt. Tightening torque 10 Nm
3 - bolt. Tightening torque 10 Nm + 90° turn (1/4 turn)
4 bolt. Tightening torque 8 Nm
5 - air filter hose
6 - Hall sensor
7 - O-ring. If damaged, the ring must be replaced
8 - bracket
9 - air filter mounting pin. Tightening torque 6 Nm
10 - cylinder head mounting bolt
11 - rocker arm. Check the ease of movement of the support bearings of the rocker rollers and lubricate the guide surfaces. When installing the rocker arm, it should be secured with a locking bracket on the support element
12 - rocker arm support element. Do not mix up these elements during installation. Lubricate the guide surfaces of the elements
13 - mounting pins
14 - engine oil pressure sensor.
Tightening torque 25 Nm. The sensor registers engine oil pressure within 0.3-0.7 bar. If the sensor sealing ring is leaking, it should be cut with nippers and replaced with a new one
15 - cylinder head.
The maximum permissible curvature is 0.05 mm. After replacing the head with a new one, the coolant should also be replaced
16 - cylinder head gasket. Should be replaced after each dismantling. After replacing the gasket, the coolant in the system should be completely replaced
17 - guide pin. Tightening torque 20 Nm
18 - Engine lifting eye
19 - eye mounting bolt. Tightening torque 20 Nm
20 - camshaft housing.
21 - Plate tappets. Lubricate the guide surfaces
22 - high pressure fuel supply pump with built-in fuel pressure reducing valve
