- Upper cover of the timing drive
-toothed timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism
- toothed belt for exhaust camshaft drive
- bolt Tightening torque 10 Nm. The bolt must be replaced with a new one after each dismantling. Tightening of bolts is performed in the sequence from outside to inside
- guide. Tightening torque of fastening bolts 8 Nm
- Air filter finger. Tightening torque in Nm
- coolant pipeline
- Hall sensor
- O-ring. To be replaced after each dismantling
- bracket
- rocker arm. Check the ease of movement of the support bearings of the rocker rollers and lubricate the guide surfaces. When installing the rocker arm, it should be secured with a locking bracket on the support element.
- Engine lifting eye
- eye mounting bolts. Tightening torque 20 Nm
- mounting pins
- rocker arm support element. Do not mix up the elements during installation. Hydraulic support elements to maintain constant valve clearance. Lubricate the guide surfaces of the elements
- cylinder head mounting bolt. To be replaced after each dismantling. Tightening of the cylinder head mounting bolts is performed in three passes in sequence 1-10.
When performing the 1st pass, the bolts are tightened by applying a force of 30 Nm.
During the second pass, the bolts are turned by 90° (1/4 turn).
At 90° (1/4 turn) the bolts are tightened during the 3rd pass
- Engine oil pressure sensor. Tightening torque 25 Nm. The sensor registers engine oil pressure within 0.3-0.7 bar. If the sensor sealing ring is leaking, it should be cut with nippers and replaced with a new one
- cylinder head gasket. Should be replaced after each dismantling. After replacing the gasket, the coolant in the system should be completely replaced
- cylinder head
- tension roller of the toothed belt of the exhaust camshaft drive
- roller mounting bolts. Tightening torque 20 Nm
- rear cover of the timing mechanism
- cover of the gas transmission mechanism. Remove any remaining sealing compound (sealant). Before installing, apply VW-D188003A1 sealant to the sealing surfaces. When installing, place the cover strictly vertically from top to bottom on the fingers and mounting pins.
- bolt. Tightening torque 10 Nm + 90° turn (1/4 turn). Tightening of bolts is performed in a spiral pattern in sequence from the inside to the outside
