1 - cylinder head cover
Do not treat the sealing surface. The camshaft bearings are built-in.
Before installation, apply sealant AMV 188 001 02 from the VW Group.
When installing vertically from above, insert the mounting pins into the holes in the cylinder head.
2 - sealing ring
If damaged, replace with a new one.
3 — oil filler cap
4 - bolts, 20 Nm
5 — eye
6 — cylinder head mounting bolt
Always replace. Release in the reverse order to that shown below in Figure N15-0522.
7 - from the air filter
8 - vacuum hose
9 - Hall sensor
10 — bolt, 10 Nm
11 — sealing ring
If damaged, replace with a new one.
12 — bolt, 10 Nm
13 — Bracket for wiring harness.
14 - hydraulic switch, for pressure 0.3-0.7 bar, 25 Nm
15 - sealing ring
16 — cylinder head gasket
Always replace. After replacement, change all coolant.
17 - guide pins, 20 Nm

Installation instructions:
Place the cylinder head gasket on the centering bushings "A". Inscription (with spare part number) "B" should be on top and should be readable.
Place the cylinder head, screw it in and tighten the 8 mounting bolts by hand.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts in three stages. In each stage, tighten the bolts in sequence from 1 to 8.
Method 1: using a torque wrench with a torque of 30 Nm.
Method 2: using the locked key, turn in the tightening direction without stopping by 90° (¼ turn).
Method 3: using the locked key, turn in the tightening direction without stopping by 90° (¼ turn).
