2. After parking the car on a flat surface, remove the dipstick and wipe it dry with a rag without torn edges. Insert it again and then remove it. The level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If the level is lower, add fluid through the oil dipstick tube. Check for leaks if you have to add oil very often. If no external leaks are visible during the check, check the final drive oil level. If it is very high, it is quite possible that the transmission oil is leaking into the final drive housing. In this case, contact a service station immediately.
3. The difference in the amount of oil between the maximum and minimum marks on the level gauge should be 0.4 l.
4. Every 4500 it is necessary to change the oil in the automatic transmission and clean the oil pan and filter (if any). Under severe operating conditions, the oil should be changed more frequently.
5. Raise the car and place it on stands.
6. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container. If the drain plug is not installed, loosen the front oil pan bolts, then remove the rear bolts and lower the pan to drain the oil. Be careful not to scald yourself.
7. Clean the crankcase from the inside.
8. Unscrew the filter cover, then remove the filter and gasket.
9. Clean the filter and cover.
10. Install the cover and filter together with a new gasket, tighten the bolts to the appropriate torque.
11. Install the oil pan with a new gasket and tighten the safety bolts to the appropriate torque. Lower the vehicle.
12. First fill the automatic transmission with gearbox oil (2.5 l), then start the engine.
Check if the handbrake is fully tightened. Then set the gear selector lever to all gears in turn. After that, set the lever to the "N" position. With the engine idling, check the oil level. The oil level should be visible on the dipstick. Otherwise, oil must be added so that it is visible at least at the end of the dipstick.
13. Drive a little to warm up the oil in the transmission and check its level again. Top up if necessary. If after warming up the oil level exceeds the maximum, the excess must be drained.
14. To check the oil level in the final drive unit, the vehicle must be positioned over an inspection pit or raised parallel to the ground.
15. Unscrew the plug and check whether the oil level is at the bottom edge of the plug hole. Otherwise, add oil through the plug hole and screw the plug back in. Lower the car to the ground.
