Examination
1. Warm up the box to operating temperature. The oil temperature should be around 60°C. This temperature can be reached after 10 km of run.
2. Park the machine unloaded on a level surface.
3. Set the gear selector to position "R", apply the handbrake.
4. During the test, the engine must be running at idle.
5. The dipstick for checking the oil level is located in the hood. ATF oil is also filled from here (Automatic Transmission Fluid). Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth, preferably leather. Then insert the dipstick all the way, remove it again and check the oil level. Warm oil level box (about 60°С) must be between the marks "min" And "max" probe.
6. Check the look and smell of old oil on the dipstick. Burnt abrasion products smell burnt. Dirty oil can cause transmission problems.
7. Top up with ATF if necessary. Use only approved ATF oils for filling. As a rule, Automatic-Transmission oils marked "Dexron". All approved ATF oils can be mixed with each other. Do not use additives.
Attention! Do not add too much oil. A large amount of it can cause malfunctions of the automatic transmission. In any case, excess oil must be drained or removed.
8. After checking the oil or adjusting the level, reinsert the dipstick until it stops.
9. Squeeze out the foot brake and slowly change all gears. Then check the oil level again.
Checking the oil level in the axle drive
Required tool:
- end socket for screws with hexagon socket 12 mm;
- for topping up: gear oil G50 (synthetic oil) SAE 75 W-90.
The prescribed oil level for the perfect operation of the axle drive in an automatic transmission is particularly important. An oil change is not required.
1. Place the machine horizontally on stands.
2. Loosen the oil level screw (indicated by an arrow) in axial drive. This requires a 12 mm Allen key.
3. Insert your finger into the hole. The oil level should be at the bottom edge of the filler hole.
Attention! If during the test it is found that there is too little or too much oil in the axle drive of the automatic transmission, a connection to the planetary gearbox is possible. Find out the cause at the service station and eliminate it.
