1. Set the steering wheel to the center position.

2. Move the steering wheel left and right, watching the front wheels. The steering wheel should have a play of 25 mm without turning the wheels.

3. If there is more play, it is necessary to check the steering gear lever and rod system, the steering gear and the clearances in the front axle bearings.

4. Move the tie rods vigorously from side to side. The ball joints should not have any play, otherwise replace the joints or tie rods.
