Before proceeding with the installation of the shaft, it is necessary to put the synchronizer ring of the I / II gear on the cone of the corresponding gear and measure the gap «A» between ring and gear (pic. 295). Maximum allowable clearance (wear) is 0.5 mm.
After installing crackers in the hub, put a clip on it.
On both sides of the synchronizer, install the springs so that their ends are mutually rotated by 120°, as shown by the dotted line in Fig. 296. You should also pay attention to the fact that the groove in the holder was directed towards the 1st gear gear.
Heat gear 15 (see fig. 292) IV gear up to 120°C and insert the shaft into the gear with the protrusion directed towards the gear of the III gear.
Also put on the gear 14 of the third gear, and the protrusion should be directed to the gear of the fourth gear. The shaft and gears must not be covered with oil.
Insert pinion 12 in 2nd gear and lubricated needle bearing 13.
Press on the synchronizer hub 10; the groove of the cage should be directed upwards. Note that the synchronizer ring has been installed correctly.
Install retaining ring (see fig. 291) and puck. Put on the shaft gear 6 (see fig. 292) I transfer. Put on the spring washer, as well as the retaining ring.
