To disassemble the main gear and differential:
Knock out both pins and remove the satellite pin from the housing.
Remove the differential gears from the housing together with the plastic separator. If the bolts of the round nuts are not damaged, they should not be removed from the satellites.
The differential housing bearing can be removed using a puller. To remove the bearing from the speedometer drive side, you must first separate the speedometer drive worm gear using a chisel (figure 306), then remove the bearing. The worm gear must be replaced during assembly, as it cannot be removed without damaging it.
If it is necessary to remove the toothed ring of the main gear driven pinion, it must be heated to at least 120°. Then the ring can be separated from the differential housing. This must be done carefully, since all parts are hot.
