In this case, you need to pay attention to the fact that the shaft has the same number of teeth, which guarantees the preservation of the gear ratio. In all bearings, check whether the balls or needles have signs of wear, dents or other damage. Also assess the condition of the synchronizer hubs, their bushings and forks.

All seals, oil seals and retaining rings must be replaced, as well as damaged bolts, nuts and washers.

It is possible to replace the gears of one shaft without necessarily replacing the paired gears of the other shaft.
