For the correct installation of the block head, it is necessary to use special dowel pins that are screwed into the cylinder block from the intake manifold side in the area indicated in fig. 197, for which: Clean the mating surfaces of the head and cylinder block.
Tighten all bolts in sequence to 60 Nm (second tightening step).
Change the torque wrench to a normal one and, in the order indicated, tighten each bolt exactly one half turn. Twice quarter-turn tightening possible (2x90°).
Start the engine and let it warm up. Tighten the bolts in order exactly 1/4 turn in a smooth, continuous motion.
After a run of about 1000 km, the bolts should be tightened in the order indicated by a smooth continuous movement for another 1/4 turn. The engine may be cold or warm.
All other actions are performed in the reverse order of disassembly.
