Removing
1. Disconnect the wire clamp to the battery ground.
2. Remove the air filter assembly.
3. While lifting, release the clamp that secures the carburetor throttle control cable, paying attention to how it is placed.
4. Remove excess cable from support bracket.
5. Remove the screws and remove the shelf from the driver's side, then remove the fastening clip from the cable on the gas pedal.
6. Remove the entire cable to the engine section along with rubber transitions.
7. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the gas cable is correctly installed and not twisted. Finally, before installing the air filter, the cable must be adjusted.
Adjustment
8. Before making adjustments, check that the cable is correctly installed along its entire length.
9. When adjusting, the assistant must fully squeeze the gas pedal.
10. Check if the gap between the throttle lever on the carburetor and the full open limiter is 0.5 mm. It must be remembered that the throttle lever cannot rest against the full-open limiter (those. there should be a small gap).
11. There are various ways to adjust the gas cable. In the case when locknuts are placed at the end of the metal cable protection on the engine side (Solex Piet carburetor in fig. 3.7). it is necessary to loosen them, then adjust the position of the cable and tighten the locknuts. If at the end of the metal protection there is a sleeve screwed in with a spring safety ring (carburetors Solex Pic, Zenith 1VZ and 2V5, as well as Pierburd 2E2 and 2EZ), it is necessary to remove the safety ring, adjust the position of the cable, and then put on the safety ring so that it rests on the guide sleeve.

In some car models, before adjusting the gas cable, it is necessary to loosen the clamping bolt, change the position of the throttle lever, and then tighten the clamping bolt 12. The gas cable is adjusted in a similar way in models with gasoline injection and a manual transmission. With the gas pedal fully depressed, it is necessary to adjust the gap between the lever and the limiter (pic. 3.9) The gap should be 0.5... 1.0 mm.
Adjustment is made by rearranging the fastener of the metal protection of the cable into another groove of the metal protection, lengthening or shortening the length of the air filter.
