Accelerator pedal components: 1 - accelerator lever; 2 - spring; 3 - accelerator pedal; 4 - carburetor cable; 5 - axle with bearings

The accelerator cable connects the accelerator pedal to the throttle lever on the carburetor. At the front, the cable is connected to the accelerator pedal lever, and then it passes through a plastic tube to the fan housing. In the fan housing it passes inside the guide tube. The cable is secured to the throttle lever in a sleeve with a tip made in the form of a bolt.

Removal

Loosen the screw in the mounting sleeve on the throttle lever, remove the end of the throttle control cable at the accelerator pedal and unhook the cable.

Installation

Degrease the cable and check it for bends.

Pass the cable forward along the guide tube.

Rock the car from behind and check if the plastic tube has moved on both sides.

Retract the cable completely until it emerges from the fan housing.

Connect the cable at the front to the accelerator pedal lever.

Insert the cable into the throttle lever mounting sleeve and adjust it.
