Checking the cable traction (VW Tiguan 1)

To check the cable traction for ease of movement, first remove it from the gearbox and place the disconnected end so that it does not touch other components and parts. Then switch the selector and reinstall the traction. After this, it is necessary to adjust the selector cable traction. Do not lubricate the traction connection!



Shift the selector to position P. Remove the cable rod "1" from the gearshift control shaft lever "3" using the wrench "2". To remove the cable rod from the counter support, squeeze the locks "arrows". Shift the selector from position P to position S and back to P several times. The selector should move easily. Reinstall the rod. Adjust the rod!
