Checking and adjusting the deflection of the clutch cable guide (VW Beetle)

Attention! The cable guide must have a deflection of B=25-45 mm.

Achieve the required pre-deflection of the cable guide by installing or removing suitable washers between the support corner on the gearbox and the guide element (see arrow A). Too much sag will cause the cable to move with difficulty and may cause it to squeal or scuff.
