2. Tighten the timing belt on the side opposite the tension roller (Fig. 3.4). The marks on the tension roller (arrows) should move together.

3. Loosen the timing belt tension.
4. Rotate the crankshaft two full revolutions in the direction of rotation and set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC again. The tension roller should return to its previous position. If the tension roller does not return to its previous position, replace the tension roller.
