1. Turn the crankshaft two full turns in the direction of rotation and set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC.
2. Tension the timing belt from the side opposite the idler pulley (pic. 3.4). Idler pulley marks (arrows) must move together.
3. Loosen the timing belt tension.
4. Scroll the crankshaft two full turns in the direction of rotation and again set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC. The tension roller should return to its original position. If the idler does not return to its original position, replace the idler.
