Work should be carried out before the toothed belt is reinserted or when it is suspected that the belt is either slipping (jumps over a tooth), or worn incorrectly.
Check that the piston of the first cylinder is not at top dead center.
Unscrew the spark plugs.
Temporarily screw the vibration damper to the crankshaft flywheel. Mounting holes are staggered, i.e. The vibration damper can only be mounted in a certain position.
Scroll the engine (tightening the socket on the crankshaft flywheel screw), until the mark on the vibration damper is in line with the mark on the toothed belt guard.
Turn the camshaft wheel and set it in the control position. This can be done with the cylinder head cover removed or mounted. With the cylinder head cover fitted, the mark on the camshaft wheel must lie against the mark on the cylinder head cover (kind). If the cylinder head cover is removed, the camshaft wheel mark must be in line with the edge of the cylinder head (view B).
Remove the crankshaft pulley again.
Now put on the toothed belt, but make sure that the shapes of the teeth of the belt and all gears mesh well with each other.
Tighten the control belt.
