
2. Install the toothed belt: timing belt. If the belt has been used before, install it according to the marks made during removal (old direction of movement).
3. Install the tension roller and tighten the mounting nut by hand (fig. 3.5 b). The groove on the base 1 must be aligned with the fastening bolt 2. Tighten the belt by moving the tension roller in the direction of the arrow so that the indicator 3 is aligned with the groove on the base (arrow).

4. Tighten the tension roller nut to 30 Nm.
5. Rotate the crankshaft two full turns in the direction of rotation and set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC again and check the adjustment.
6. Install the upper and lower parts of the timing belt cover.
7. Install the ribbed belt.
8. Check the fuel injection timing and adjust it if necessary.
