1. Install the camshaft pulley, aligning the marks (arrow A) (pic. 3.5 a). Set the crankshaft to the TDC position of the piston of the first cylinder. The missing tooth on the crankshaft sprocket must be aligned with the mark on the sealing flange (arrow B).
2. Install toothed belt: timing. If the belt has been used before, install it according to the marks made during removal (old direction of travel).
3. Install the tension roller and tighten the fastening nut by hand (pic. 3.5 b). The groove on the base 1 must align with the fixing bolt 2. Tension the belt by moving the tension roller in the direction of the arrow so that the indicator 3 aligns with the groove on the base (arrow).
4. Tighten the tension roller nut to 30 Nm.
5. Rotate the crankshaft two full revolutions in the direction of rotation and set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC again and check the adjustment.
6. Install the upper and lower parts of the timing belt cover.
7. Install the ribbed belt.
8. Check the fuel injection timing and, if necessary, adjust it.
