Loosen nut -1-. Detach circlip -2- and lever -3- from selector shaft -4-.
Carefully pry off the hooks of the locking washer -2- using a screwdriver. If the lock washer had a broken hook, the washer must be replaced. Loosen nut -1-. Remove bolt -5-. Detach multifunction switch -4- with washers -2- and -3- from selector shaft -6-.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Insert multifunction switch -4- into gearshift shaft -8-. Tighten securing bolts -5- for multifunction switch by hand. Bend the hooks of the locking washer -2-, Install the washer -2- and the nut -3- on the gearshift shaft -6-. Install washer -2- with hooks pointing upwards. Insert washer -2- with long narrow guides into long narrow grooves of gearshift shaft -6-. Tighten nut -1- to 7 Nm. Lock nut -1- while bending lock washer hooks upwards -2-. If the lock washer has a broken hook/hooks, the washer must be replaced. Insert lever -3 into selector shaft -4-. Using the lever -3-gearbox, shift to position P, i.e. -3- push against the direction of travel until it stops back.
Shift the gearbox to position N with lever -3-. Press lever -3- forwards in the direction of travel two detent positions. Install spring ring -2- and nut -1- on gearshift shaft -4-. Tighten nut -1- to 13 Nm.
Vehicles with 6-cylinder petrol engine
Install the expansion tank of the cooling system. Connect ground wire to battery with ignition off.

Adjustment conditions
Selector rod disconnected from shift lever/shaft. Shift shaft in position N. Fixing bolts for multi-function switch -F125- have been removed. The shift lever/shaft has been removed.
Insert setting device -2- and turn multifunction switch -1- until setting device engages with protrusion of multifunction switch plug. Lock adjusting device with bolt -3- on selector shaft -2-. Tighten bolts -arrows- to 6 Nm. Remove the adjusting device. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
